Manual typewriters are the old click-clack typewriters that most of the famous best selling authors, journalists and writers have used for more than a century. Unknown to some, these manual typewriters are still used today. There are people who write and think more creatively using these manual typewriters and some writers claim that the click-clack sound helps their creative juices flow better. Most manual typewriter users also point out that they can type on their manual typewriter without having to be too dependent on electricity, charges, computers and a lot of these 21st technology gadgets. They claim that this makes typing easier for them, especially if what they own is a portable manual typewriter that they can take anywhere.
Manual typewriters are available even today. Even Amazon offers a variety of lightweight and portable manual typewriters that are new complete with the ribbon and a warranty of at least one year. Manual typewriters seem to be a best selling Amazon product. They cost 75 dollars which isn’t bad considering that it is new, offers a one year money back and replacement warranty and it’s extremely useful for one thing — typing. Omega also a new type of manual typewriter that types both in English and Spanish. This means that there are extra Spanish keys which make it convenient for both English and Spanish users. It costs 59 dollars and most reviews written about it are positive.
The Olivetti MS 25 Premier Plus Portable is another popular favorite. They are sold as factory refurnished which means that these are recycled products but they look new, feel new and they even come with a year warranty. There are other less popular types of manual typewriters available at Refurb Express stores online. Brother also has its collection of newer models of manual typewriters that come with a correctable typewriter ribbon, in fact Brother still manufactures portable manual ones and their consumers are happy.
Manual typewriters aren’t really OUT. Even China is producing new manual typewriters knowing that there re times when some people personally prefer it to the computer. There are some developing countries that still use the manual typewriter and some counties, even in the United States that have more people who love typing with these typewriters because they do not depend on electricity and are environmentally friendly.

Whatever the reasons, manual typewriters are NOT going away soon. They’re even probably coming back in different more colors, styles and shapes as it takes its place again in the 21st century.
